A 61-year-old Davie man got to thank the two BSO deputies and the Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue crews that saved his life after he collapsed on the side of a Cooper City street three weeks ago to the day.

Two hundred elementary school students from throughout Broward County participated in the U.S. Fire Administration’s Arson Awareness Week 2008 essay writing contest coordinated by the Broward Sheriff Fire Marshal’s Bureau on behalf of the Broward County Juvenile Firesetters Program and the Florida Division of State Fire Marshal.
